Rather than being given puzzle pieces and graphs, students collect samples to make their own charts and write their own arguments.
Expeditions is a new feature of Tyto that was funded by the National Science Foundation. It features collaborative gameplay and focuses on Science and Engineering practices (SEPs).
In groups of 3-5, students will try to solve a problem in a live simulation. They will first actively collect data, create graphs to interpret the data, and argue for a hypothesis with their own words. Then they will test out various solutions before submitting one that they agree on.
