Women in STEM — 24 Scientists, 24 Art Styles

24 women who changed science, each in a completely different illustration style. Made by the art team to celebrate — bios included.

Marie Curie illustration
CoverMarie Curie

Twenty-four women who changed science, each rendered in a completely different illustration style. Art deco for Marie Curie, storybook color for Ada Lovelace, sepia bust for Ana Roque de Duprey, ink wash for Mary Anning, and on. The art team made these to celebrate — a chance to push our craft, and an excuse to read closely about each woman.

Twenty-four women, twenty-four styles

Made by the Immersed Games art team to celebrate. Each portrait pushed a different style — what we’d been wanting to try — and gave us a reason to read closely about a woman who changed her field. The pieces originally lived inside Tyto’s in-game art museum; that museum isn’t in the build anymore, but the art still is — and the bios are here so you can sit with each one.
