As one of the difficult and longest-feeling years of many of our lives has come to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect. This year has brought a number of unique challenges for us, even as an ed-tech product, since teachers and administrators have been so overwhelmed figuring out how to safely deliver instruction. We looked for ways we could help: how could we make delivering engaging science instruction easier for teachers? How can we help engage students in a lonely time? How can we be agents of change around race and supporting BIPOC students?

I’m really proud of the opportunities we found to support teachers and students, and what our team was able to accomplish this year:

You may have noticed a number of green highlights in the above timeline, since we have a lot of large projects we’ve been working on for months pending to start with the Spring semester in January.

Here’s a quick preview; of course expect longer announcements soon as these start to go live over the next month:

We also wanted to highlight the incredible new team members we were able to bring on during 2020, who have been key members in everything we’ve accomplished.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, put your trust in us, and also helped us as we worked through this tumultuous year. We’re excited for what 2021 has in store and the ways we know we’ll be able to contribute.

Addendum: want to check out some of the press written about us this year?
